Gas Mileage of BMW cars in mpg

Hello friends, hope everyone is good. Today we are going to write about various kind of BMW cars' fuel economy and try to figure out their gas mileage in mpg. Everyone knows, BMW is a luxury brand of car. It is a German brand which in its full form is known as Bayerische Motoren Werke AG which probably few know. We are so used to with calling it BMW and that is its iconic name in fact. Despite being a German brand, BMW cars has good presence in USA market. It has large number of models to cater to the need of US people. Therefore, we thought it right to cater one more need of you people i.e. fuel efficiency of the cars.

 

The fuel economy of gas mileage of BMW cars that we are going to write today will be based on EPA ratings. This US government agency rates BMW vehicles in mpg figures based on their performance in city or highway. We will take lower and higher value of BMW variants to give you broad idea in this post. In upcoming posts, we will cover gas mileage of individual BMW models of cars and SUV to give you more insight. So, without wasting time, let's begin.

First we have is BMW 2 series cars. This is range of premium executive c-class cars produced by the company. The variants of it gives gas mileage in range of 21 mpg to 33 mpg. Similarly, 2021 BMW 3 series sedan cars gives mileage in range of 25 mpg to 75 mpg. Higher value is given by hybrid models. BMW 4 and 5 series has similar range of fuel efficiency with hybrid models from 2021 BMW 5 series performing better compared to other variants in the series. BMW 7 and 8 series has both lower regular gasoline variants and higher performing hybrid models. If we talk about BMW i3, a small hatchback car from the company, 2021 model of it gives gas mileage of 31 mpg for regular gasoline to up to 113 mpg with hybrid models. BMW M, which is a motorsport sedan, gives gas mileage in range of 15 mpg to 32 mpg.My personal favorite, BMW Z4, a convertible coupe kind of car, gives mileage in range of 22 mpg to 32 mpg.

Good or bad BMW MPG cars

Some of the poor performing BMW cars in terms of fuel economy including some of the variants of BMW X5 and X6, particularly their regular gasoline one. But with hybrid, they perform better. Some of the good performing BMW cars in terms of mpg figures includes BMW i3 in their electric/hybrid mode. 

We have not been able to cover all the vehicles from the fleet of BMW brand. This includes BMW X1, X2, X3, X4, X5, X6 and X7 which are all luxury SUV. Also some popular models from past like BMW i8 is also missed out here.
